d'après 761 avisSolo hooked me up with a shell-only order. I was looking for a boot with comparable feel to a Next 2.0 for my very skinny ankles and duck feet. The owner was responsive on chat and even sent me detail shots of the shell internals with relative-size reference objects placed inside the heel. He did a great job of estimating the USA import duties I would be required to pay, only missing ~$25 USD fees the shipping carrier charged on top of the government.
The boot itself was a good match for my Next 2.0 fit when paired with some broken-in MyFit Prime Bulletproof liners. Powerslide's Next 2.0 copy claims they made more room for the "ankle" but what they really did was make room for prominent or accessory navicular bones, just above the arch. Their usage of ultra stiff and oval-shaped cuffs are why people report pain on their interior malleolus (inside ankle) bones. This Iqon boot uses a slightly more round cuff profile which allows contact between the shin to engage with less lateral clamping force compared to the Next 1/2 cuff. If your ankle is a hotspot, you will still need to pad out the cuff/tongue interface with dense EVA foam to take pressure off, but you won't need as much foam. This boot has more vertical space in the toebox than the Iqon ACT or PS Next models. The frame mounts use a slotted design which makes this one of the only non-FR "165 mount" boots on the market that can perfectly center the following frames:
1. Endless 80 (regular and Ultra)
2. Endless Swan
3. Endless Stoppard
4. *** Endless 100 (non-RB variant) *** - Iqon's carbon CL10 mounts could not center this one, even with slots.
Rollerblade has an egregious forward bias, Flying Eagle has a slight rearward bias.
This boot was a steal at MSRP, with the only noticeable manufacturing cost reductions being exposed forefoot bolt receivers in the bottom of the boot, and insufficient adhesive strength on the internal padding for the cuff bolts. It's possible they previously included padding covering the bolt receiver that stayed with the liners instead of the shelf in my custom order; all but one pad was floating in the shipping box.
I could have bought another set of ACTs with the 165 conversion, but these ride lower. Shame nobody bought them and they appear discontinued. These could have been a 165 flagship if they had the black colorway from the start; I'm 99% sure the babies nursery colors are the only reason this model fell off of people's radar. Do keep offering more colors; the takeaway lesson is don't make dirt magnets that don't match anyone's existing outfits the *only* options for first gen models.
The Lightning 90’s fit great and are extremely comfortable.
Very good in the city and extremely fast on paved pathways.
Thank you to the SOLO Montreal staff for shipping these so quickly to Hamilton Ontario.
Take care.

Coming from soft boots skates, I’m more than pleased with my new skates!
I love the support of the boot and the Flex Lock system to adjust the rigidity of the support. I feel way more confident on bike lanes and streets with those 90mm wheels and the slight rocker is very useful to practice turns and tricks. Imo, it’s a great first hard boot skate to buy. Well rounded for a variety of use and skate styles.
Also I had a great experience shopping at Solo Inline Toronto, the staff were very friendly and helpful. They measured my foot to make sure I chose the right size. Thanks a lot!
Thanks to the team and expert advice, I'm rolling into a new phase of my mid life crisis!
Definitely comfortable and helps support the feet where needed while riding
The gentleman who helped with the skate selection was spot on; it was the right fit and exactly what I needed. He deserves a raise.
Regarding these skates, they are super fast, I haven't lost to anyone yet. Very comfortable and stable ride all in all10/10
Hi! I’m writing this review not for a discount, but because I genuinely want to share my experience.
I spent the entire summer roller skating, and this purchase definitely made my summer unforgettable. The skates are amazing, the quality is outstanding, and the size fit perfectly thanks to your consultant’s advice. I’m extremely happy with my purchase and couldn’t be more satisfied. Thank you!🤗
Amazing skates, and came quickly considering I'm in a different country.
Great liners for my old skates.
Excellent service and fast shipping
I loved this set of wheels , they are amazing for urban skating , good durability and control , slide well after breaking them in , one of my fav urban wheels, pushed them hard and they hold amazingly! for the price range :) totally recommended
I had done a fair bit of research looking into what skates to upgrade to (especially having a wide foot), and read a lot of very glowing reviews about these skates. I am very pleased to say that they live up to the hype and then some.
I went from a cheaper soft boot skate (with problems I very quickly came to realize) to these and I swear I progressed months overnight with how responsive, smooth, and supportive these are. The shock absorption is such a nice touch that keeps the energy in your feet secure, and it makes the ride super smooth even jumping, and I was able to skate for hours on end with these fresh out of the box without too much discomfort even as I was breaking in the liner. The boot is also super supportive and I was suddenly able to do one wheel isolations I never could before, and could suddenly do them with ease which upped my game tremendously. The buckles are so quick to do up with such an intuitive adjustment system that mid-session adjustments can even be done while rolling, yet there is never any risk of them accidentally being popped open at the wrong time. Though not the hydrogens the 90’s come with by default these wheels are high quality, skate well, and wear well.
These skates are so good, and such a steal at the price, especially if you, like me, have wide feet that might otherwise be prohibitive with a hard boot.
Boutique Solo Inline is one of the best places to buy inline skates from in Canada. They have an extensive range of inline skates brands, and skating gear and parts in stock. I recently purchased Rollerblade Macroblade 90 BOA Urban Skate and the skates arrived the next day; shipping was super fast and the description and size charts were detailed and accurate. I will definitely re-purchase from this shop again .
